Deemed a "Celebrity Pop Artist," Tarantola's collection of over 3,000 original images documents the spectrum of famous personalities in entertainment, sports, and politics. In black and white and color, in oil and mixed media, he captures the essence of their character, inviting the viewer to participate in the creative experience.

His paintings come alive. When Diana Ross sought a cover-art for on her Grammy nominated song "It's My Turn," she chose a Tarantola image. To capture the essence of Rita Hayworth, daughter, Princess Yasmin Aga Kahn chose a Tarantola portrait to adorn the lobby of the Alzheimer's Foundation. Pop art book publishers chose a Tarantola image for the cover of Marilyn In Art, as well as Madonna in Art in 2004, Elvis in Art in 2006, and newly released Princess Diana in Art.

Tarantola's art lineage dates back to the early 1800's and also extends into the future. His great grandfather, Giustiniani Finocchio, was a favorite sculptor for the Pope at the Vatican in Rome, Italy. His son Damon Tarantola, who's work can be viewed at dtsculpture.com, is a metal sculptor.

Tarantola is also a hair and make up artist for the stars, former styles director for Clairol, Chanel, Loreal of Paris, and current styles director of the Cactus Salons.
